Ms. Coats was born and raised in Council Bluffs, Iowa and settled in Scottsdale, Arizona after attending both college and law school in the Midwest.
Ms. Coats is a graduate of the University of Iowa (B.B.A., 1998) and Creighton University School of Law (J.D., 2006) and is admitted to practice in Arizona. While in law school, Ms. Coats served on the Executive Board for the Client Counseling and Negotiation Competitions and Phi Delta Phi International Legal Fraternity; was a participant in the Creighton International Law Moot Court Competition and member of the Creighton Law Ambassadors and Woman’s Law Student Association. Also, while at Creighton University, Ms. Coats received extensive training in alternative dispute resolution.
Licensed as a real estate salesperson in both Nebraska and Arizona, Ms. Coats worked in the commercial and residential real estate industries for several years before engaging in the practice of law, allowing her to attain a level of practical hands-on experience and insight which serves as a valuable asset in representing our clients in real estate matters. Ms. Coats primarily is engaged with our litigation practice and also provides counsel with regard to real estate matters.
